Plan ahead

One of the best pieces of advice we can give is to let your loved ones know what arrangements you want when you die.

You are welcome to visit the Meadow at Thoulstone Park to see whether it feels like the right place for your final resting place. There is a permissive footpath around the meadow, so you’re welcome to walk around and get a feel for it on your own. Alternatively, Mary would be happy to meet you there if you give her a bit of notice.

The Natural Death Centre have compiled a really useful form.  The form lets you record as much or as little detail as you like — anything from just the basics to very specific preferences.  This kind of document is typically shared with close family, executors, or friends, so they know what arrangements you want.

You can also pre-purchase plots:

  • A full burial plot

  • An adjacent full burial plot (next to someone else’s)

  • Single ashes plot(s)

  • A family ashes plot
